Columba’s in the World
St.
Columba’s leadership takes seriously our mission to move outward
toward the world, as well as our in our own community.
The Episcopal Church committed itself to Fair Trade goals, the
United Nations Millenial Development Goals, and community
outreach. Our
Outreach Committee has initiated several local ministries, such as VIP
(visually impaired persons), FISH (transportation, and assistance).
In
2003 as part of our Building Fund Campaign, St. Columba’s committed
the first $ 5,000 raised to be sent to the Diocese of the Amazon in
Brazil to complete a church there.
We now have a long term relationship of mutual support in that
Diocese.
